Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for services provided by Elshafeay Consultancy F.Z.C ("the Company," "we," "us"). The specific commercial terms of any engagement are set out in the applicable proposal or statement of work ("Engagement Agreement"), which takes precedence where it differs from this policy.
1. Nature of Services
We provide professional technology consultancy and software development services. Work is typically performed against an agreed scope and is billed as fixed-scope milestones, time-based engagements, or retainers, as defined in the Engagement Agreement.
2. Deposits and Upfront Fees
Some engagements require a deposit or upfront fee to reserve capacity and begin work. Unless stated otherwise in writing, deposits become non-refundable once work on the engagement has commenced, because they secure scheduled time and resources.
3. Cancellation by the Client
- You may cancel an engagement at any time by written notice to info@elshafeayconsultancy.com.
- You remain responsible for fees for work performed and costs committed up to the effective date of cancellation.
- For retainers, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise agreed.
4. Refund Eligibility
- Work already delivered or in progress is generally non-refundable, as it represents time and effort already spent.
- Prepaid amounts for work not yet started may be refunded, less any non-refundable deposit and any costs already incurred on your behalf.
- If we are unable to deliver an agreed service and no acceptable alternative is found, we will refund amounts paid for the undelivered portion.
5. Requesting a Refund
To request a refund, email info@elshafeayconsultancy.com with your invoice or engagement reference and the reason for the request. We aim to review and respond to refund requests within a reasonable period, typically within fourteen (14) business days.
6. Approved Refunds
Approved refunds are issued using the original payment method where possible. Processing times depend on your bank or payment provider.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution.
